Leah & Cole's Bright and Warm August Wedding at Bird's Eye Cove
Leah and Cole’s sunny wedding at Bird’s Eye Cove was filled with laughter, smiles and special memories for their family. I really enjoyed capturing the connection not only between the couple but between their family and friends too!
This was a HOT day. But just look at those blue skies! Here is a glimpse at what August at Bird’s Eye Cove Farm looks like. A venue I have shot at countless times and always love to return to.
One thing I love about this venue is the versatility of the barn. With the bridal suite in the loft, and great big windows and sliding barn doors, you could easily have your reception and ceremony indoors if needed! These two opted for outdoors in the sun which made for a cheerful backdrop to their ceremony.
Getting ready photos are so easy here because of all of the large windows and warm wood details of the bridal suite. The space to get ready is huge! So my one tip is to try to keep your things in one area like the kitchen, bathroom or under the loft stairs to keep the living room space open for pictures. Have your makeup artist do your makeup in front of the couch facing the window. The best light in my opinion!
I absolutely love this shot from Leah and Cole’s first look. We went out into the open field for this moment before the ceremony. They later sealed the marriage with bubbles during their recessional! My heart!
Some wedding party shots. I can’t remember if their dog was the best man or not but he was certainly a very good boy.
The family photos were so stunning with the haze of the mountains and the tall grass!
I really loved capturing how Cole wanted to honor his late father who passed away prior to the wedding. The two took some emotional shots in his dad’s car. Something unique that I haven’t captured before and the images created were both stylish but deeply meaningful. I love when couples incorporate these unique details in their day.
We ended as the sun was setting over the treeline.
Some more reception details…Eucalyptus green was the color scheme. So gorgeous.
And they danced the whole night through!
Congratulations to the new Mrs. and Mr.! It was such an honor to photograph your wedding.
I would love to come back to Bird’s Eye Cove for another wedding soon! Click the button below to inquire about your date!
