My Approach

Wedding photography is not just a job for me, it’s a lifetime passion project. This not just a job, but a joy for me. Love is such a powerful feeling, and behind love there is always a story. My job is to find out what that story is and re-tell it through photos. Most of my clients are quite shy and introverted, many have never had their picture taken professionally before. I make an effort to get to know my clients first and get to know what their expectations are. I work slowly, using prompts like “Hold each other close and just breathe for a little bit”. These prompts help my clients relax and react more organically with each other.

I assist in timeline building, and always have an open door policy when it comes to email questions. I am here to support you and make your wedding happen without stress! I plan ahead so I can be fully immersed in creativity on your wedding day. I take on a selective number of weddings per year so that the quality you receive is top-notch and I can be available for numerous phone consults, site visits and email support.

On the wedding day, I take a documentary style approach. This comes from my love for photojournalism and finding that story. I take in the space, observe the commotion, and find the emotion in the scene. I calmly float around taking lots of candids in between. When it comes to the posed photos, I take a simple yet effective approach by offering clear directions and keeping a light-hearted attitude, even when things don’t go as planned! There is beauty in that too!
