Melissa & Seth's Sea Cider Wedding

Dreaming of a totally cozy fall wedding? Are you more of a grey skies and hot chocolate girl? Is your Pinterest full of fall fashion mood boards and warm knit sweaters? If yes, you are likely thinking of planning your wedding in September to November! One of my favorite venues for this season is Sea Cider Farm in Central Saanich. *Pro-tip: The apples are at their biggest and reddest capacity in September for photos!

Here is a glimpse at what a wedding in October looks like here, but don’t forget to check out Shylee and Owen’s September Wedding here!

Of course, I always take photos of the invitation, jewelry and the bride’s dress. The velvet textures really added to this cozy fall vibe.

The bride’s flowers were delivered and I got this adorable shot of her admiring her dress and smiling at her bridesmaids. Just too cute.

Some finishing touches and a helping hand from her big sister, making sure the bow is just right and veil can withstand all wind patterns in the forecast!

Complimentary cider from Sea Cider obviously! Made fresh from the apples in the orchard.

Snuck away and took some shots of the groom getting ready. Some more thoughtful textures like the twine wrapped around the boutonniere and the wool tie.

Reception shots of all of the other thoughtful details this bride and groom put into their special day. Gorgeous florals incorporate warm fall colors like orange and pink into a cool toned palette. These colors really pop on overcast days!

Then they got married!!!

I was pretty proud of this bubble shot, who doesn’t love bubbles?

Some bride and groom portraits. The apples really add a pop of color to this autumn wedding.

Followed by some lightening fast bridal party photos (family photos went a bit longer than expected, this happens sometimes but we work around it!) This bridal party was awesome, and had fun being themselves in front of the camera. Loved these shots!

The grand entrance and a heart-felt (and slightly embarrassing) speech from the father of the groom. Their reactions are priceless.

Inside there was the first dance, so of course we did some prism magic. Followed by the cutest choreographed mother-son dance I’ve ever seen. Well done!

More reception shenanigans and an impromptu hoedown? Love it.

All about the love here! I always try to search out those couples that have “never had their photo taken together”. I always think photos are a nice wedding favor for guests too!

Cake cutting photos.

Best for last, the Sparkler Exit!

Congratulations to the new Mrs. and Mr.! It was such an honor to photograph your wedding.

This was my 8th wedding at Sea Cider in 2024 alone. If you’re planning on getting married at Sea Cider Farm, I know this place like the back of my hand and would love to be your photographer! Click the contact button below to connect with me.
